A Few Words From Our Greens Keeper
The golf course has responded to the nice weather so far this summer. It has seemed to heal up rather well from this past winter. We fertilized the Bermuda grass heavily to help with the spreading of the turf into the bad areas caused by the winterkill.
I am confidant that we have the right dominant turf grass on the golf course. Bermuda grass is still one of the less expensive turf grasses to manage because of the reduced use of pesticides. Fuel, fertilizer, and pesticides have almost doubled from around 2 years ago. With that, we can still manage our course for $100,000.00 less than what an average golf course costs to run in Indiana. We are also able to complete a few projects along the way to help the golf course long term.
The greens committee is going to address the problem with the dormant Bermuda playing conditions that we had in early spring. However, we will not jeopardize the health of the Bermuda turf without doing our research first.

Letter from the President
The Club Championship is over. Congratulations to all who participated. If you didn’t play, you missed an excellent chance for four guaranteed weekend tee times to play with members whose games are close to yours.
Our course is in very good condition and the weather has been typical, hot and humid. Take some time to come out and enjoy all that our course has to offer. Remember that your input helps the Board to make educated decisions for the best outcome for our course.
The next Board meeting is August 4th at 7:00 p.m. The first part of the meeting is for member input and questions.
Thanks for your time,
Roger Dahl, President

A WORD FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors would like to remind our members that membership dues are non-refundable. In the event of a member’s illness or injury, it has been the long-standing policy of the Board of Directors that membership dues will not be refunded. Instead, the member has been placed on a medical leave status, so that additional initiation fees would not be charged when the member is released by their physician to resume golfing. Regardless of whether members choose to pay their membership as a lump sum payment or monthly debit payments, membership fees are non-refundable. If monthly debit payments are chosen in lieu of a lump sum payment, all members will be expected to honor the one-year contract for payment of the full membership fees.
This has been the longstanding policy of the Club’s Board of Directors. Of there are any questions, please feel free to attend the next scheduled Board meeting on August 14th at 7:00pm. The first 15 minutes of all monthly meetings are specifically set a side for members to address any questions or concerns.
